SK Design Group was responsible for the site selection, master- planning, civil design and construction observation of this $45,000,000 Facility for the Kansas City Missouri Aviation Department at KCI Airport. SK Design Group initially performed a comprehensive masterplan of the Proposed Facility including site analysis, needs analysis & feasibility analysis. SK Design Group also performed an in depth study of bus operations and made recommendations for the number of buses and the bus routes.

Project includes 6 miles of roads, 110 acres of asphalt parking,
5 bridges, 32 bus shelters, 3 box culverts, an earth dam, four roundabouts, signalization of two intersections and renovation and signalization of two overpass interchanges and a 12,000 square-foot bus parking and operation facility. Waters of U.S., permitting through FEMA, COE and the MoDNR, as well as permitting through MoDOT and FAA were required on this job.
