SK Design Group was the Civil Engineer for the $60 million renovation at the Liberty Memorial including site work and utilities. The half-mile long site is located in the heart of the cultural-business district. The improvements include a new entrance on the south side of the memorial with sloping walkways leading to a new oval shaped reflecting pool.
The Liberty Memorial, which is one of Kansas City’s most recognizable landmarks, is the only major memorial and museum in the United States dedicated to World War I. The Memorial, which soars 217 feet above a hill, dominates the Kansas City skyline.
